# Membership

Memberships let you create paid membership plans with recurring perks such as discounts, free shipping and free gifts.

Go to:

**SubscriptionSuite → Membership**

### Before You Create a Membership

First, create a **product in Shopify** for your membership.

For example:

**Gold Membership**

This product will be used as the membership product customers purchase from your store.

Once the product is created, you can select it inside SubscriptionSuite.

## Create a Membership

Click **Create your first membership**.

### Membership Details

Enter the name of your membership.

Example:

**Gold Membership**

### Membership Product

Select the Shopify product you created for the membership.

Every membership uses a Shopify product, and customers purchase the membership through that product.

## Choose How Customers Pay

You can offer the membership using **Subscribe & Save**, **Prepaid**, or both.

### Subscribe & Save

Use recurring billing if members should be charged automatically until they cancel.

Set:

• Frequency\
• Interval\
• Price (Make sure the price is the same as the PRODUCT price of the Fetched Product)

You can also add multiple frequencies.

### Prepaid

Use a prepaid term if members should pay upfront for the full membership period.

Prepaid memberships do **not auto renew**.

Set:

• Frequency\
• Interval\
• Price

## Add Membership Benefits

Click **Add benefit** to choose the perks members receive.

Available benefits include:

• Percentage off\
• Fixed amount off\
• Free shipping\
• Free gift

You can add multiple benefits to the same membership.

## Status

Choose whether the membership should be active.

An **Active** membership can be offered on your storefront.

## Order Tagging

You can optionally add:

• **Order tag**\
• **Order note**

This can help you identify membership orders inside Shopify.

Example:

**gold-member**

## View Your Members

Open the **Members** tab to see customers who have joined your memberships.

You can filter members by:

• All\
• Active\
• Paused\
• Cancelled

You can also:

• Search by name or email\
• Export member data

## Save Your Membership

Once everything is configured:

1. Review the membership details
2. Confirm the membership product
3. Check billing or prepaid settings
4. Add the benefits
5. Set the status
6. Click **Save**

Your membership is now ready to be offered to customers.
