# Create Selling Plans
Selling Plans control how customers subscribe to your products.
From one plan, you can choose the subscription type, products, pricing, delivery frequencies, loyalty options, gifting, fulfillment behavior and more.
### Before You Start
If the SubscriptionSuite App Embed is not enabled, you’ll see a **Subscribe widget not visible** warning at the top of the page.
Click **Activate app embed** and enable SubscriptionSuite in your Shopify Theme Editor before making the plan live.

## Step 1: Choose Your Plan Type
Go to:
**SubscriptionSuite → Plans → Create Plan**
Choose the type of subscription you want to create.
#### Subscribe & Save
Customers are charged on a recurring basis based on the delivery frequency you configure.
#### Prepaid
Customers pay upfront for multiple deliveries.

NOTE: If you want to create a Plan with both options, Subscribe and Save & Prepaid, then you'll have to create both plans separately and add the same product in both the plans, This way the product will have both the options in the widget.

## Step 2: Add Your Plan Details
Under **Plan details**, enter the information customers will see for the subscription.
### Plan Name
Enter a name for your plan.
Example:
**Monthly Subscription**
You can also reset the name back to the automatically generated name.
### Description
Add an optional description to explain the subscription offer.
Example:
**Monthly coffee subscription with 10% off every order.**
### Minimum Commitment
Enable **Require minimum commitment** if customers should remain subscribed for a minimum commitment period.
### Subscription Only
Enable **Subscription only** if you want to hide the one time purchase option for products using this plan.

## Step 3: Choose Where the Plan Applies
Under **Apply to products**, choose the products you want to use with the Selling Plan.
Click **Select products** and choose the products you want to include.
If no products are selected, The Plan won't save.
### Price Adjustment Per Product
Enable **price adjustment per product** when a specific product or variant should use its own subscription price.
A product level price adjustment overrides the default plan discount.
Existing subscribers keep their existing price.

## Step 4: Configure Pricing & Discounts
Under **Pricing & discount**, configure the default offer for the plan.
Choose:
• Discount type\
• Discount amount
For example:
**Percentage off: 10%**
#### Charge regular price after a few orders
Offer a discount for the first few subscription orders, then automatically switch to the regular price.
1. Enable **Charge regular price after a few orders**.
2. Under **After how many orders?**, enter how many orders should receive the discount.
3. Under **Price after these orders**, select **Regular price**.
**Example:** Offer 10% off the first 3 orders. From order 4 onwards, customers pay the regular price.
### Combine SubscriptionSuite Discounts
Enable **Allow SubscriptionSuite discounts to combine** if customers should be able to receive multiple SubscriptionSuite discounts at the same time.
For example, a customer could receive a loyalty reward together with another eligible SubscriptionSuite offer.

## Step 5: Set Delivery Frequencies
Open **Delivery frequencies** to choose how often customers can receive their subscription.
For each frequency, configure:
• Number\
• Interval\
• Discount type\
• Discount
Example:
**Every 1 Month**
You can use the plan’s default discount or configure the frequency differently.
Click **Add frequency** to give customers more delivery options.
> Changes made to an existing frequency apply to new subscribers only. Existing subscribers keep their current schedule and price.
### Free Trial
Enable **Offer a free trial** if you want customers to begin with a trial before their regular subscription schedule starts.

## Step 6: Configure Loyalty Bonuses
Open **Additional options** and enable **Loyalty bonus** to reward long term subscribers.
You can create different reward tiers.
For each tier, configure:
• Tier name\
• Reward\
• Trigger\
• Number of completed orders\
• Bonus
Example:
**Bronze**\
Reward: **Discount %**\
Triggered: **After N Orders**
You can also choose to keep the bonus active for the remaining lifetime of the subscription.
Click **Add tier** to create additional milestones.
### Loyalty Emails
SubscriptionSuite can also email customers when they are approaching or unlocking a Loyalty Bonus.
You can customize:
• **Tier unlocked email**\
• **Almost there email**

## Step 7: Set Up Win Back After Cancellation
Under **Additional options**, enable **Win back after cancellation** if you want to automatically send an offer after a customer cancels.
Configure:
• Days after cancellation\
• Discount type\
• Discount value
Example:
**7 days after cancellation → 15% off**
You can also click **Add second offer** to follow up again with customers who have not returned.
Click **Customize email** to edit the email customers receive.

## Step 8: Enable Gift Subscriptions
Open **Gift** and turn the feature on if customers should be able to purchase the subscription for someone else.
### How the Gift Starts
In the current setup, you can choose:
**Recipient claims it by link**
The recipient receives an email link and starts the subscription themselves.
### Number of Deliveries
Choose the available gift lengths.
Examples shown in the app include:
• 3 deliveries\
• 6 deliveries\
• 12 deliveries
You can add additional options.
### Gift Frequency
Choose how often the gift subscription is delivered.
Example:
**Every month**
### Gift Emails
You can customize:
• **Gift purchased email**\
• **Gift invite email**

### Fulfillment Settings
Choose what should happen if a subscription product goes out of stock.
#### Fulfillment Options
• **Substitute with backup product**\
Replace it with a backup product.
• **Skip the cycle**\
Skip that delivery and continue with the next one.
• **Cancel subscription**\
Cancel the subscription if the product is unavailable.
• **Notify customer**\
Let the customer choose what they want to do.
#### Shipping Profile
Choose the shipping profile for this plan.
#### Allow Product Swap
Turn this on if customers should be able to swap to approved products.

### Mark as Best Value
Enable **Mark this plan as best value** if you want the plan to display a badge on the storefront subscription widget.
### Live Preview
Use the **Live preview** to see how the plan will appear to customers before you save it.
You can also click **View summary** for a plan overview.

## Save Your Selling Plan
Once everything is ready:
1. Review the Plan Details
2. Confirm the selected products
3. Check pricing and delivery frequencies
4. Review any Loyalty, Win Back or Gift settings
5. Check the Live Preview
6. Click **Save**
Your active Selling Plan can then appear on the eligible products in your storefront.

## Best Practices
• Keep Plan Names simple and easy to understand\
• Offer only delivery frequencies that make sense for the product\
• Use the Live Preview before saving\
• Use Loyalty Bonuses to reward long term subscribers\
• Use Win Back offers to reconnect with cancelled subscribers\
• Use Gift subscriptions when the product works well as a recurring gift\
• Test the storefront experience before promoting the plan
