# Build a Box
Build a Box lets customers create their own recurring box by choosing products from a selection you control.
Go to:
**SubscriptionSuite → Build a Box → Create Box**
### Step 1: Add Box Details
Start with the basic information for your box.
#### Box Name
Enter a name for the box.
#### Description
Add an optional description explaining what customers can expect.
#### CTA Button Label
Choose the text customers will see on the button.
If left empty, it will use **Build a box**.

## Step 2: Choose Eligible Items
Choose what customers can add to their box.
You can build the box using:
• **Products**\
• **Collection**
Click **Select products** and choose the products or variants you want to include.
If a selected item goes out of stock, SubscriptionSuite can use the substitute you have configured for that item.

## Step 3: Set Size & Pricing
Choose how many products customers can add.
#### Minimum Items
The minimum number of items required.
#### Preselected
Choose how many items should already be selected when the customer opens the box.
#### Maximum Items
The maximum number of items customers can add.
### Default Box Discount
Choose the default discount for items inside the box.
Set:
• Pricing type\
• Discount amount
The final box price changes based on the products the customer selects.

## Step 4: Add Delivery Frequencies
Choose how often customers can receive their box.
For each frequency, set:
• Number\
• Interval\
• Discount
Example:
**Every 1 Month**
You can:
• Click **Add frequency** to create another option\
• Click **Import from plan** to reuse frequencies from an existing Selling Plan\
• Choose which frequency should be the default

## Step 5: Save Your Box
Once everything is configured, click **Save**.
The box is first saved as a **Draft**.
After saving, SubscriptionSuite creates a dedicated storefront page for the box.
From here you can:
• Activate the box\
• Open the storefront page\
• Copy the storefront URL\
• Edit the box\
• Customize the storefront

## Customize Your Storefront
After saving the box, open **Customize Box Storefront** if you want to change how the Build a Box page looks or edit the text customers see.
You can customize:
• Layout\
• Colors\
• Text and copy\
• Product cards\
• Custom CSS
Available layouts include:
• Shelf\
• Manifest\
• Gallery\
• Ladder\
• Drawer
You can also preview the page on:
• Desktop\
• Tablet\
• Mobile
And preview different states such as:
• Empty\
• Picking\
• Full\
• Out of stock\
• Loading

## Activate Your Box
When you're happy with the setup and storefront appearance:
1. Return to the box
2. Click **Activate box**
3. Copy or open the storefront URL
4. Add the link wherever you want customers to access the box
Customers can then open the page, select their products and subscribe.
