# Billing Failures

The **Billing Failures** section helps you monitor, manage, and recover failed subscription payments.

Instead of immediately cancelling a subscription after a failed payment, SubscriptionSuite gives you complete control over what happens next with a fully customizable **Dunning Management System**.

From retry schedules to customer notifications, every step of the recovery process can be configured to match your business.

## Dashboard Overview

The dashboard gives you a quick overview of your payment recovery performance.

#### Revenue at Risk

Displays the estimated recurring revenue currently affected by failed subscription payments.

This helps you understand how much subscription revenue could be lost if payments aren't recovered.

***

#### Recovered

Shows the total revenue successfully recovered through your Dunning recovery workflow.

***

#### Recovery Rate

Displays the percentage of failed payments that have been successfully recovered.

A higher recovery rate means fewer subscriptions are lost because of failed renewals.

***

#### Total Failures

Shows the total number of failed subscription payments during the selected period.

***

### Recovery Rule

At the top of the dashboard, you can see the retry schedule currently being used for failed payments.

For example:

**3 attempts over 1 / 3 / 7 days → then pause**

Click **Edit retry settings** to change your retry schedule and final recovery action.

This takes you to **Settings → Payment Retry & Dunning**.

***

## Billing Failure Status

SubscriptionSuite automatically organizes failed payments into different categories.

***

### Pending Retry

Payments waiting for the next retry attempt.

These subscriptions are still active and will continue through your recovery workflow.

***

### Recovered

Payments that were successfully processed after one or more retry attempts.

No additional action is required.

***

### Lost

Payments that couldn't be recovered after all configured recovery attempts.

These subscriptions follow your final recovery action.

***
